If you’re not marketing your listings using video, you’re missing a huge opportunity to differentiate yourself from your competition, and provide a higher level of service to your clients and reach the generation X and Y.
These two markets love to engage, look and share information. Examples of the medium they use are Face book, YouTube, and MySpace. They provide the basis for communication and will allow Estate Agents to push information to them. As Estate Agents, we need to market to users of these sites, and ensure we provide everything they want. So, why are video applications important? They are easily accessible and can be shared. We can market to this sector of buyers for not a huge price. Many agents market their listings using Virtual tours- video applications are a great “add on” are easy to do. Video has other applications. Some services allow you record and send video messages with the same speed and ease as composing an email. You can set up a channel that includes your branding. Eyejot- this application is straight out of the USA, Eyejot is an example of a free online video messaging platform that can be used for business communications. It will work on any browser and on any platform. There is no software to download or install. All you have to do is login, record or upload your video, and send it. The recipient is notified by email that there is a new video message. To watch all they have to do is click on the link.
